General API for fetching most public data from the live Nano blockchain.

Automatic HTML/JSON

If you visit the API urls in the browser, some pages will be HTML. Using a back-end server will always return JSON. Use ?json=true flag in the browser to force JSON response.

For Chrome users, we recommend a JSON Formatter Plugin to clean up raw JSON responses. Makes for cleaner development. We did not build this Chrome plugin.

Authentication

No API key is required to interact with Nano.to.

Rate Limiting

On most endpoints, you can expect to have up to 5 requests, per second. This is plenty for most use cases. Remember to throttle your requests, and you won't hit the limit.

Get price of ($XNO) in USD, or any fiat. The price updates every 60 seconds. CoinMarketCap is used for price data.

Find Payment By Amount

Check if a Nano address has received a block (i.e Payment) with a specific amount. Searches Pending & History. This is useful if you want to build your own payment checking service.

List of Nano.to Usernames

As of January 2022, there are over 500 registered Usernames on Nano.to. You're welcomed to use these Usernames in your applications. You may cache the list on your machine for as long as you'd like, or hit our endpoint everytime (up to 5 per second). This specific endpoint is designed for hobby & high demand applications.

Data Deletion Policy

Nano.to's data comes from the Nano Blockchain itself. Nano.to only stores Username leases and Checkout metadata. Username lease is kept for the duration of the rental. Checkout metadata is stored in-memory and is deleted after 24 hours. It's cheaper to NOT store unnecessary data. Who could have guessed.
